Why I am running for the United States Senate?

Before I start with anything let me explain to you why I am doing this. Like most of you I have watched politics lately and realized that there are few politicians that are listening to the people. I recently started calling their offices to find out how they stood on the FairTax. These officials will not directly answer this question. I am sure that my representatives have heard of this. It is a bill in the House and the Senate. There are books written about it. If these elected officials have a better idea then I would welcome to hear it but i did not receive it. All I am told is that they believe in tax reform with no plan that they would support. This is not an acceptable answer for me. I need to get straight forward answers to my questions. I now realize that this will never happen because this system is broken.

But the great thing about this country is that everyone in elected office can be replaced within 6 yrs. That means that individuals can rise up and replace them with people that will make the changes that are really needed. I don’t care about democrats or republicans. Party affiliation shouldn’t be the only way to get elected and it seems to me that the one thing they both can agree on is that there is no room for anyone else. ANYONE ELSE REPRESENTS MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE THAT COULD VOTE. Does anyone really think that these parties have done a good enough job to deserve exclusivity in the political process?

The biggest problem in Washington is the money flowing into it. The only way to limit the money coming into Washington is to enact rules that cannot be changed unless it will affect everyone. Enacting The Fair Tax will accomplish this. It will mean that there will be a 23% embedded tax on everything you buy. Some will argue that it is actually 30 % but no one can argue this. When you spend a Dollar for an item 77 cents will go to the business owner and 23 cents will go to the Government. Workers will keep their entire paychecks. Retirees will keep their entire pensions. Every American will receive a prebate to ensure no citizen of this country pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level. A family of 3 will get $5,290 back every year. It will allow American products to compete fairly around the world. It will bring transparency and accountability to tax policy. It also insures Social Security and Medicare funding. It will close all loopholes and bring fairness to taxation. The Fair Tax will provide an instant stimulus to everyone in this country. Bring manufacturing jobs and trillions of dollars back to America. Business will be able to make financial decisions based on the needs of the company not complying with some tax code. This is the stimulus and change that this country needs.

The next 2 issues go hand in hand. Becoming a Senator, Congressmen or Congresswomen should not be a career or a paycheck for the rest of your life. We need to have new blood all over Washington and these (2) laws will ensure that will always happen. It will also mean that those that make the laws will have to live by those same laws later.

I do not think the majority of the politicians and special Interest groups in Washington want this to happen but the majority of Americans do. The only way to get these fundamental laws in place is to only elect people that will pledge to vote for them. We need every elected official and every candidate running to either agree to this platform or be replaced with someone who will. I don’t care if you are a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or an Independent if you will back this platform you will get elected.
