Illegal Immigration

We need more taxpaying citizens to replace the baby boomers that are about to start retiring. We also have a massive illegal immigration problem. The very first thing we need to do is to make illegal immigrants pay taxes. The FairTax will make sure that happens.  Americans will get the benefit of the prebate from the Fair Tax but all people in this country should have to pay taxes.

Next thing is to secure the border. This is a major national security issue. We need to know everyone coming into this country. I do not fear illegal immigrants coming here for a better life but we cannot allow an open border.

Next we need to identify all the illegal immigrants and either give them a path to citizenship or deport them. We can not deport every illegal immigrant in this country but those that are criminals need to go. Illegal immigrants need to go through a process to even earn an opportunity to become an American citizen. This will include background checks, medical screening, and classes in the rules, rights and responsibilities of each and every American citizen. Becoming an American citizen  should not be guaranteed or given but earned.
