What do we do to reduce
government spending?

What is really needed is for all Americans to elevate themselves up to the point that you no longer need government. That may be harsh words but I am in the same boat as everyone else is right now. I made mistakes but I am paying for them and moving on to better days with lessons learned. In order for government to get bigger it needs you to need them. Do not need them. Find a way to succeed. Fight as if your life depends on it. Just because the government says that you can have a program from them does not mean that you should take it. Save it for the person that really needs it. If you have a choice between the private sector and a government job then go with the private job. That is the true freedom everyone wants.

Now I know that there are Americans that either have fallen on hard times or are disabled or for some other reasons that they may need the help from the government. I am all for that but there should be a new coordinated response to this problem. The first response will be the FairTax. This will give every American an instant stimulus. We need to relieve every American from paying taxes up to the poverty line.

The next step is to ensure that every person that needs help has an individual exit strategy. Assign a case worker to every family that requires government assistance to look over every aspect of their lives and get them as a family on the right track. If you need help from the government then this should be no problem because you want to get better anyway.

The first thing this caseworker will do is to look at the finances of the individual and clear all of the debt that they have. The government will pay this off and collect it back from the individual with a low interest rate and a payment schedule. Until the loan is paid in full your credit is frozen.

The case worker will look at the education and skills of each family and provide the proper assistance that is needed to guide them to the correct area of training that they need to make it in this advanced society. Only with the proper education will people be able to succeed in this country.

The healthcare of this family will also be under the supervision of this case worker and the federal government. This family will have a complete medical screening to include dental and vision. The reason for this will be to identify any possible medical issues they may have and develop a plan to get each family on a healthy path. They will be required to take health classes ranging many topics with a focus on maintaining good health.

The reason I choose to have one person oversee all aspects of getting a family back on their feet is easy. It becomes personal and there needs to be one person this family comes to for everything. This caseworker will guide them through the help they need for greater efficiency.

The job of this caseworker is to get this family back on their feet again as fast as possible. And they should be rewarded for it. This job is vital to bring true freedom to this country one family at a time. These employees need to be given an incentive to get these people back on their feet. I know that you think I am just starting another big federal program but we will have all of those IRS Agents that will have a lot of free time. This is also where the American people come into play. There are many aspects where volunteers will make all the difference and having an overall case worker will help coordinate this assistance.

The case worker and the family goals should be the same. Make the case worker no longer needed. If you need help from the government it needs to be given with strings attached. Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Give him a fishing pole and he will eat for life.

I believe the only way to control government spending is with a general public that doesn’t need them. When we are taxed across the board at the same rate then the public will make our elected officials accountable to eliminate out of control spending.
