Energy Policy

Before I get started with my plan I would like to state a few beliefs that I have.

I view energy independence as a severe national security risk.

Renewable energy is vital to expand our economy in the long run.

We will not eliminate the need for oil.

We can reduce the amount of oil we use.

Any program will cost Americans money.

We have to become energy independent as soon as possible

I think we look at the power grid the wrong way in this country. We need to look at the relationship between the homeowner or building owner and the grid. How can we get homeowner and building owner to start generating more power than they need? Renewable Energy. Different areas in this country can produce different types of renewable energy. Structure this plan so that the homeowner or building owner will eventually be able to make money selling energy back to the grid if they will reduce the amount of energy that they use. Spend the money up front to enable Americans to become small power plant owners.

Solar power will work in many areas. In other areas we need to try anything and everything to produce electricity in a similar way to solar. Americans needs to manufacture and perfect this technology ahead of the rest of the world. If we can do this we will be able to manufacture this technology in the United States and export it to the world. If you can generate your own energy then you would want a car that ran on the energy that you were able to make at home.

We also need to use all the energy available in America. Expand offshore drilling, nuclear, natural gas and anything Americans can come up with. Renewable energy will not be able to make us independent alone and we need the tax revenues of these sources.

I want America to set a date to be energy independent. This needs to be a national priority. There has to be cooperation between government, business and the people with an overall goal to eventually sell off the government stake in these companies.

In my writing about different topics you can see a common theme. I want to free Americans. Free them from taxes below the poverty line, Free them from energy dependence. When this country was founded we didn’t need this type of energy to survive. That is no longer the case. Americans need to be able to produce energy themselves. If the government is going to spend tax dollars from American citizens then this should be the only goal.

Americans need to become completely free to do whatever they wish. Your elected officials should have this same goal but I do not think they do. If the government is going to spend Trillions of dollars then spend it on programs that will enable us to break the bonds that now control our daily life.
